Rental Qualifications
  1. You must be over the age of 21 years old.
  2. You must posses a valid driver's licence.
  3. You need a credit card with sufficient refundable security deposit. We accept Visa, Master/Euro Card and American Express.
  4. You must rent the vehicle for a minimum of 3 day
Reservations
A 20% deposit is required upon booking. Some bookings require a different deposit.
Payments
Payment can be made by Cash, Travelers checks, Master Card, Visa, American Express credit cards. All renters must possess a valid credit card.
Cancellation Policy
Booked and cancelled within 5 days   No charge
Over 30 days prior to departure   10%
30 - 15 days prior to departure   20%
14 - 08 days prior to departure   30%
7 - departure day/no shows   100% of the rental charges
Security Deposit
  • An open credit card authorization is taken at departure for all rentals.
  • Security deposits must be made by credit card.
Group Bookings
Autoteam Inc. welcomes group bookings for all our unit types.
Transfers/Hours of Operation
  • We are open Monday to Friday from 8AM to 6PM, Sat. from 9AM to 4PM.
  • We offer a free pick up at South Amboy Train station, South Amboy Seastreak Ferry Terminal and Newark Airport.
  • We offer a to door delivery to any location in Manhattan for a fee of 50$. We do not deliver vehicles during curtain rush hours time but we will deliver after our closing time if arranged.
  • On most of our stations we offer a free airport pick up.
Sorry, there are no refunds for early returns.
Repairs/Maintenance Responsibility
Our fleet of vehicles is in top mechanical condition. In the unlikely chance that a mechanical failure occurs, clients are authorized to proceed with the necessary repairs up to $100. For expenses over $100, clients must telephone the rental station for authorization before proceeding with repairs. Replacement parts must be returned to the rental centre for reimbursement. Clients assume full responsibility for damage to tires. Oil, tire pressure and coolant must be checked at each refueling. Costs for oil will be refunded upon presentation of receipts. Customers assume full responsibility for any additional expenses created by the mechanical breakdown of the vehicle. The company's responsibility is limited to the refund of the daily gross rate or portion thereof if the breakdown repair is longer than 24 hours.
Pets
Sorry, generally pets are not allowed. But ask us for our pet designated units.
Driving License/Drivers Age
  • All drivers must possess a drivers license valid for the entire rental period.
  • An international drivers license is recommended for foreign tourists.
  • Minimum age is 21. Only drivers listed on contract are allowed to drive.
  • Additional Driver Fee: $5.00 per night for each additional driver.
